This is a post just to get a post. I'll return and edit so it says what I mean.
The technique I have been most aware of is Stand Square.
It has been different making myself stand still every time I want students to attend to my words. But I am pretty confident I detect some increased focus from them.
Hi there! I have noticed an increase in their focus as well, when I use the stand square. I have also tried to control my talking when I'm handing out papers and I do see a difference there, too.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying sitting in on your sessions. I take notes. For me to stand square has always meant that I leave my podium -- if I am there using it to hold my book or whatever. I used "Help me out" for only 2 days and see buy in or understanding. Thanks.
